Here's the deal...
Looking for lead guitarist and bassist for modern rock/alternative/acoustic/blues original band (with a few covers for shows at first) with many lyrics and songs already written. Don't let the genre i listed mislead you, the genre we will create depends on what musicians we find, their influences will greatly impact the band. I'm a drummer and have been playing for 6+ years with show/writing experience. The lead singer/rhythm guitarist has similar experience. He is an amazing singer!!! When I first heard him sing at a friends party with his acoustic, his voice gave me goosebumps and I am very, very picky about vocalists!! He has about ten songs partially written with lyrics and rhythm guitar, just need lead parts like cool riffs/solos, drums and dominant, powerful bass lines. He can play chords really well, so don't reply if you not a very talented guitarist who can't solo or doesn't know most guitar techniques (hammer ons, pull offs, trem picking ETC.) I can play most style of drums and have project experience with each ranging from reggae and blues to hardcore/metal. I'm very well rounded and serious about starting this project, focusing on modern rock/blues/reggae style drums to go along with the lead singers great vocals and lyrics. His lyrics are amazing...strong, funny and catchy but not cliche. We both go to UB and this is our last year. I'm 23 and he is 24 both males and friends.
With all of this said, I'm very excited and ready to take this project and Buffalo head on to finish writing the songs and start playing out. Our genre and talent will allow us to play at tons of venues and clubs around buffalo and we can go from there. This will also serve as a part-time job, unlike most bands where you dont get paid, our sound will be in demand and at least a few hundred a show after we get out there wont be out of the question. We would need a practice space which we can all split rent and practice several times a week.
MUSICIANS THAT ARE INTERESTED MUST HAVE: transportation, dedication, time to practice 2-3 times a week including shows, equipment to play live shows (or a plan to get them soon, like cabs, stacks ect.) easy going personality and fun to hang out with, time to chill with the band after shows or some drinks at the bars for celebration and just to hang out with the band, preferably over 21 and not older that 28. If you are younger than 21, your skills with your instrument will talk more but DEFINETLY over 18!!

09-03-10 - Buffalo, NY>Cleveland, OH - We need a vocalist with some lyric ability. We are an all original Buffalo band. Very groove oriented with very tight rhythms. A cover or two is possible but the main focus is on our originals. We need someone to come in and add some vocals. We are currently a three piece band in the age range from late 30's to early 40's. While the music has taken on a life of its own we are still in this for the fun of doing it. Looking to complete and record some songs and then head out with them. We have a dedicated band space at an area practice space. We usually get together 2-3 times per week for practice. Low pressure, fun and a democratic effort with egos in check. We are looking for a female or male singer. The music is pulled from many genres and we are trying not to trap ourselves within a specific genre. We will adapt what we are doing to fit within the proper singers range. Most important is that everyone "gels" with the vibe.
